Can I use the twentytwelve theme for a backbone of my new rebranded theme?

    I do a lot of freelance WordPress work and majority of the time ill use one of the default twentyeleven – twentyfifteen themes as a base and adjust the CSS and add some custom stuff from there. However, is it within the GPLv2 to use one of these themes and rebrand it after I make my custom CSS edits. For example: I would began with the twentytwelve theme, adjust the CSS, make some custom layout changes and add some theme admin options. Can I then give this new theme a name and display it on my site for free download?
