This is a difficult question. The issue has nothing to do with VideoPress but with your site on WordPress.com. Technically, if such sales violate the WordPress.com Terms of Service, you are not able to do so. If you link to a third party service that does handle all the sales and are merely promoting your work on WordPress.com, there is some latitude.
The key is that WordPress.com for free blogging is not for commercial accounts. If the majority of your content is not sales pitch, you should be okay.
