    Hi @zhuwensh,

You can use WordPress.com for free. However, WordPress.com offers different plans.

will I own the copyright of the stories and articles I created?

Go through the below link for the copyright of the content
    https://wordpress.com/support/fair-use/

There are some ways to prevent content theft too.

    I hope it helps!

  • Hi there,

The WordPress software is free for anyone to use for any purpose, and on WordPress.com we also offer free hosting for that software on our free plan. You can use WordPress.com for free for as long as you want, and will only need to upgrade if you want the features or services included in our paid plans.

If you create a website with us, that website belongs to you, as does all content on it. You don’t transfer any intellectual rights to your content to us by doing that. As per our terms of service that you agreed to when creating your account, you grant us permission to use your content in places like the WordPress.com Reader, and to distribute it via RSS feeds, but the copyright remains yours at all times.
