    Is there anyway to use the wordpress.com site to transform a site to a membership site? I see wordpress.ORG has this plugin, but this capability is not enabled on wordpress.COM that I can see. Are there any options for this type of site or will I need to move the site to another host?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello! Yes, you can!

    There are a few different ways to go about this. First, you can set each post to be password protected: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/

    Or you can make your site private (http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/) and then invite members: http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

    I believe it really depends on what you mean by “membership” site. What is it exactly that you intend to do?

    What about this membership plug-in I keep hearing about?

    Does anyone have any first hand experience with it, or have a link and any feedback?

    @zineiac
    There is no FTP access to WordPress.COM blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins. That’s why I send those who want to set membership by registration sites by means of plugins, to hire a webhost http://wordpress.org/hosting and set up their own WordPress.ORG installs.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
