Can I wait to use my domain with a plan?

  Im moving my store over from Shopify to WordPress and while I build the new site on wordpress I want my site to run on shopify.

  So my question is, do I have to register my 1 yr free domain right away or can i use the site.wordpress.com for the time being?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You absolutely can just use the ____.wordpress.com URL until you everything is ready with your new site.
