can image size be changed in gallery mode mode?
-
According to your support for gallery, “An image gallery will display a set of thumbnail images attached to a particular post or page.” But, on that same support page (see below link) it appears that the image size can be changed to either medium, large, or full. I’ve tried changing this option, but it doesn’t change the image size in gallery mode. Suggestions?

You’ll have to use the shortcode manually to change the display size: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/#gallery-shortcode

Thanks, that worked when I entered size=”medium” into the gallery shortcode. But when I switched themes from Autofocus to Nishita, the images in the gallery now look like thumbnails again. The shortcode still has size=”medium”, so I don’t understand. Even if I enter size=”large”, the image doesn’t’ change. If I go back to Autofocus, the image size is again medium. Suggestions?

That’s actually specific to your theme. Part of how it controls the layout.
We’ll see if we can remove it, but it might be too important to the design.

Thanks again! Please keep me informed because if it can’t be removed, I will switch themes.
