Can log into account, but cannot access my dashboard

I’ve been trying to edit and post on my blogs since yesterday. I can log in, but cannot access my dashboard to use any functions – the page just loads forever and eventually freezes up. Initially I assumed its due to heave traffic over the weekend which slowed your servers down, but the problem still persists today. My other blog is on another account and I have the same problem. I tried different browsers and in fact did manage to access my Blog stats on my 2nd blog briefly yesterday with OPERA browser, after a long loading time, but from there I couldn’t do anything – it just wouldn’t budge – also had very slow access to WordPress forums yesterday. (Other sites like YouTube is 100%, so I know the problem is not with my ISP.) I’ve not seen anyone else mention this problem, and its the first time I’ve had this happen. Any ideas?

I’m posting from South Africa, btw. I cannot access the forums either with Firefox, but with Opera I get in after 2-3 minutes of spooling/loading. As I said before I don’t have problems accessing any other sites such as Yahoo or Google e-mails accounts, etc. (on any of the browsers and I do have ADSL) Never had this problem before.

Try the cookie dance. Log out, flush your cache and cookies, restart the browser and try to login again.

If the problem persists, try pressing the shift key while clicking the reload button. This forces a new DNS lookup for the exact server address.
