Can macrons over vowels be used?

  Unable to figure out 1. whether macrons can be used in posts 2. if they can be used, where do I read about how to make that happen.

  Yes, they are available, but I believe you have to use the Classic editor. Above the writing box, there are two lines of options. One is the Omega symbol. Click that, and a box with a variety of special characters will open. I just looked, and the macron is there.
