Can my followers be transferred to my new wordpress.com blog?
-
I am leaving my old posterous blog and have moved to wordpress.com. I have successfully set up my new wordpress.com blog site (http://bmagblog.wordpress.com/) and have imported the blog posts from my old posterous blog (http://birminghammag.posterous.com/).
But now I want the followers to be transferred from my posterous blog (http://birminghammag.posterous.com/) to my new blog (http://bmagblog.wordpress.com/)
How can this be achieved?
Thanks,
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but I don’t see an answer to that question here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-posterous/ so I tagged this thread for a response from Staff.

You can map your old Posterous authors at the time of import, provided they set up WordPress.com accounts, as illustrated via this screenshot.
Unfortunately, there is no tool that would transfer your Posterous subscriptions over to WordPress.com. I recommend that you post on your social networks and invite people to subscribe to your new site. If you have not already, add a Follow Blog Widget to your new site.

I had hoped there was a tool but as there isn’t I will do as you suggested and invite people to subscribe to the new site. Thanks for your help!
