Can my site be recovered?
-
I just discovered I accidentally deleted one of my blogs awhile back. Is there any way to get it back or to use the username again? It was arieswriting.wordpress.com and it was accidentally deleted (had similarly named accounts)

Hi,
Oh okay. Well, I am not an expert at this, but if you are on the Free Plan, you wouldn’t be able to get Live Chat Support. On that note, if you are on the Personal, Premium, and Business Plan(s), you’ll be able and get live chat + email support for the Happiness Engineers to help you out :)
I hope this clarifies your Questions.
Thank you,

Hello @arieswriting – when a WordPressdotcom site is deleted, both the site content and the site address are permanently removed and cannot be reused. That’s the reason for the warnings during the process. Sorry for no better news. You might be able to recover some if not all of your content from that site from Google’s cache of the site or from the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine if you didn’t export a backup XML yourself.
I do see that you have a custom domain arieswriting.com which currently redirects to a different WordPressdotcom website – authorjennifersamson.wordpress.com Did you need some assistance in mapping that domain? https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ In order to map a custom domain, you will need at least a Personal plan to do so. https://wordpress.com/pricing/ As @realsimpleway has already mentioned, once you have the Personal plan you are also eligible for support from Staff via live chat or email when you post via your dashboard at https://wordpress.com/help/contact
Let us know if you have any other question.

I’m not sure what to do here – my website has disappeared. How can I find out what happened? Can my site be restored?
Thank you!

Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out. If you have recently deleted your website — or maybe you have but don’t know, check out this support article.
If you have also recently deleted the “home” page of your site — you can easily restore it. This support article can assist you, as it has more detail. Basically — it means that you can recover it without actually deleting it permanently.
If you’re not seeing your site name in your site dashboard “My Site(s)” then please contact WordPress.com Support here.
Please reply if I didn’t understand or answer your question, and me or someone else would be glad to help you out!
Thanks so much!

Sorry, @strikebuys, I wasn’t sure we couldn’t do that.
I apologize, and now understand! Thanks!
