Can my students access wordpress via their google accounts

  Good morning, I am an 8th grade teacher and have a classroom blog that is private and only available to my classroom students. Google Blogger sucks and I am sick of it. I have a WordPress account and would like to start a blog, but my school district requires that it . . .
  a.) be private to my students so the public can’t get their info
  b.) students be able to login/access it via their school gmail accounts.

  Are a & b possible?

  Hi Jeff,

  You can transfer your Blogger site to WordPress.com, or start a brand new one.

  a) You can absolutely create a blog is private and protects your students’ info.

  b) Your students would be logging in through WordPress.com accounts. They can certainly use their gmail accounts to create their WordPress user accounts. However, the blog would be accessible through their WordPress.com dashboard, not through Google.
