Can non-WordPress bloggers comment on my blog?

  For someone to comment on my blog, do they have to be a WordPress user, or can anyone post on my blog. If anyone can, how will the person be portrayed (picture, username)?

  Your readers actually have a lot of options for commenting on your blog. In addition to using a WordPress.com account, they can also comment without an account as a guest or by using their Twitter or Facebook account.
