Can not activate the theme

  Hello,
  How can we do to activate a theme (https://wordpress.com/theme/twentyseventeen)? When I try to activate, I receive the message ‘unable to activate theme’ …

  Hi Maria,

  The mrjsbarbosa account you are logged in to is an Editor on efacampo.wordpress.com, which means it does not have the privileges needed to change themes:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#editor

  This change will need to be made by a site Administrator (efacampo) instead.

  Hi Gemma,

  I’m out off “efacampo.wordpress.com” project for so long time, that I already forgot it.
  I’m working at Timor-Leste and I’m planning to begin a citizen Lab at national university. For that, I need to create a site. how can I activate a theme to do that??

  A new site would need to be created first and that can be done using this link:

  https://wordpress.com/start/

  You should then be able to choose and activate a theme from the Themes page.
