Can not add category

  I tried to add a category in posts-categories-add new category.
  Now I want the new category to be added as a menu item on the blog. When I go to appearance-menus there is categories tab with an arrow for a drop down menu. When I click on it, the drop down menu won’t appear (and I have few categories already). Basically I can not open the categories tab (Pages tab is open already and I can not close that one either).
  Please advise. thanks

  That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM and we do not provide support for it. It’s a wordpress.ORG software install hosted by Hostgator, and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
