Can not add pages to my menu
-
Hello,
I would like to add some pages to my menu like “about me”, “about the city”, “sessions”. I tried to do it from the menu settings but it seems like I can only have 2 pages on my menu which are “homepage” and “contact”. The “links” and the “categories” pages don’t serve the purpose either.
Please help me on how I can add relevant pages to my menu. Or please let me know the names of the themes that I can do this easily if this is the only possible way.
Thank you.

Hi Andrea,
I saw the link you sent me. I can see that you can choose the pages you want from the “pages box” in the menu settings page. However, that “pages box” only has two pages which are “homapage” and “contact” pages in my control panel.
Is there a way to go back to default settings? Because it seems that I can no longer have those other pages in the pages box…

You cannot add pages to a menu if they don’t exist yet. If they are posts, you’ll have to grab the URL and put it in that way.

Thank you for the answer. I can see that some themes do have at least 4 pages. Why can’t I see those? What can I do to add them? Is it about the language limit that I have chosen?

I mean, I can see the 4 pages from their own description pages. But I don’t see them when I choose to add them for my theme. Why is that?

The pages exist in other cases. Look at the link (adding pages section): http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
I do not see them where they should be as in the link I sent you.
What do I have to do to add such additional pages?

You CREATE the pages.
Dashboard->Pages->Add New. Publish. THEN you can add it into the menu.
The reason other people are having success with this and you are not is that your pages do not exist.
