Can not create a new blog

Anyone having technical trouble right now creating a new blog? I’ve tried it in three different browsers now; still can’t create new blog. Just trying to see if this is a WordPress technical issue or something on my end. Thanks!

Hi there. What is the URL of the blog you’re trying to register? And are you following the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/ ? At what point in the process do you encounter the error message?

I’m triying to register pixelturk.wordpress.com
The checking symbol will spin forever. When I submit to create blog, got the error.

You should be able to register that address. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies (http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/) and reset your modem/router and see if that makes any difference. Also try using a different browser and see if you can register the site then.
If none of this works, let us know.

Cleared browser cache so I logged out, try to register a new blog. I could register a blog with a new account. I can not register with this account.

Does this account own a blog that is suspended? If so, you will be unable to register a new blog until you deal with the suspended one.

It looks like the site pixelturk.wordpress.com has been created. Were you eventually able to register the site address?
