can not get the edit page: you are lost!

    Hi!
    Whatever I did I could not save my elementor edits on my home page: 404 error. All other pages I could. Even if I duplicated the home page I could.
    I stripped all plug ins to the core.
    Then I find out I can not access the (wp) edit page for the home page from the dashboard. It says you are lost. the page you are looking was not found.
    What to do???
    Please advise.
