can not log into account
-
I have had an account with WordPress for about a year, I get emails every so often that my site has been updated automatically to the newer version of WordPress. links are in this email so I can log in and make changes to my website. when I click any of these links, I get an error that says : ‘Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.’
I have tried both .org and .com WordPress sites and neither of them have recognized any emails that I have. the original email that I used to sign up is (email visible only to moderators and staff), and that is the email I am still getting updates to from WordPress. the most recent email is from April 5th, just a few weeks ago. I have created this profile because I have no other way of contacting for help.
additionally, my site is having trouble with any buttons it has, and clicking anything leads to the same error page. when checking my cloud ways account, it says everything is running fine.WP.com: Unknown

Hi there, I don’t see any WordPress.com sites under your account here.
What is the URL of the site with the problem?
NOTE: We can only assist with websites hosted here at WordPress.com. If you’re using the WordPress software but hosted elsewhere, you will need to reach out to your hosting provider or the WordPress.org community for guidance: https://wordpress.org/support/

the website is angelicaleah.com
I thought I signed up with .org but I was trying both just incase -
Ah ok, you site is not hosted with WordPress.com; it is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.
So, you’ll log in to it through https://angelicaleah.com/wp-login.php and not through us. You also can’t log in through WordPress.org itself, it’s entirely separate.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
With that said, if you’d like to manage your WordPress.org site through WordPress.com, that is one of the features of the Jetpack plugin: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/
As for the error there, are you sure that you have the correct MySQL database username and password in the wp-config.php file?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct MySQL database hostname into the wp-config.php file?
If yes to both, then you’ll need to contact your hosting provider’s support to ask why your database server is offline: https://www.godaddy.com/help

I do have that first link as well, but that does not work for me at all and I think that’s where the confusion started for me. its just an error establishing a database connection.
I originally had someone make all of this for me, so unfortunately im not really sure about how to troubleshoot any of this. i can log in to cloud ways, but im not sure what the correct passwords should be. -
Please double-check the items in my reply above after “As for the error there.”
If you don’t know the answer to those, or you can confirm they are correct, you’ll need to contact your hosting provider’s support: https://www.godaddy.com/help

thank you so much for your patience and help! I will definitely ask for help from godaddy
