Can Not Login to My Blog

  I can not remember the login and password to my free blog. The blog is located at steveparvin.wordpress.com

  I thought the login was sparvin but when I requested a password reset, I never got an email with a link to do so. I thought the account was tied to (email visible only to moderators and staff) but I’m not sure any more.

  I don’t have any of the account recovery info mentioned on the site like Transaction ID or Activation URL. I hope there is some other I
  information I can provide to regain access.

  Hello Steve,

  The author of the site you mentioned is having the username of parvinator: https://steveparvin.wordpress.com/author/parvinator/

  You may try to reset the password by using parvinator as username.

  I’ve added a modlook tag as well for Staff’s assistance to confirm the username of the account.

  Please check the spam folder if the reset password email is there. Do you happen to have other email addresses registered for the account? If yes, please check those as well.

  Hi there,

  I can see the password reset requests on that account, but the emails are bouncing, so most likely the email address you used for that account no longer exists.

  In that case the only other way to regain access is if you can verify your ownership via one of the other methods mentioned on our account recovery page:

  Recover Your Account

  If you’re not able to provide the required verification info, we won’t be able to give you access to the account.

  Is there any other way of authentication? I know the old email associated with the account that is now defunct. I know some unpublished details about the account. There’s got to be something else. Please help.

  Hi there,

  Have tried registering or recovering the email address associated with that account? Since you have never made a purchase on that account the password reset option (via email) is the only way for recovering it.

  That stinks. Last year, I cancelled my hosting from GoDaddy which also canceled my domain email. I switched to gmail for email and WordPress for blog hosting. I thought I changed the email associated with my WordPress account to my gmail email, but apparently I didn’t. I’ve tried all of the passwords that I can think of. I guess I’ll keep trying different passwords since there doesn’t appear to be any other options. :-(

  Well, I gave up on trying to figure out the password.

  Since I was only losing 3 posts, I decided to create a new blog, reimport from my GoDaddy export, and redirect my Google domain to the new site. The only thing I lost is the name (steveparvin.wordpress.com is now steveparvinblog.wordpress.com). Not the end of the world. Just cost me a couple hours of time.
