can not post a youtube video

    These problems only occurred after the format change. We all have been posting videos for a long time, and had no problem. I always used the copy and paste method, inserting it into the format that said “videos”, then clicking the tab that sent it to the editor. But now I have to click on Media, then the box comes up to put the code in, but when it goes to the editor, it goes to the beginning of the post, and it is only half the code. There is definitely something very, very wrong. Also, I can’t edit my posts either. It takes me to the Editor, and the page freezes. Several times, just in the last few minutes, I tried to write a new post, but the page just freezes. When I wrote a post this morning, it would freeze between letters. I think there are some terrible bugs in this new format. Please tell me there is hope for this to be fixed. This is exasperating! My blog is: http://sparkle333.wordpress.com/

    try using other browser, may be it solved yr problem ….

    i am suing mozilla firefox now, well not yet post video this time, but i have a problem with RSS Widget.

    I’m having the same trouble embedding video since the UI change. I emailed support, but haven’t received a response. I tried uploading YouTube video in both EI and Firefox, but that didn’t help either. So frustrated … does anyone know if this is a common bug or is it just me?

    I’ve always been able to put youtube videos in my blog but not since the changes.
    I’ve tried both EI and Firefox and neither work.
    At first I was just getting a random link appear in my blog rather than video but now I’m not getting anything it just freezes when I am trying to insert it.
    I’m very fustrated too. Tried contacting support but not heard back – I guess they are being overwhelmed by questions at the moment.

    @ sacredpath, that’s how it worked before the wp 2.5 conversion. But now, when I upload a video, I need to manually put in the brackets and youtube= in order for it to work. If one doesn’t manually put it in, when one hits publish, the video does not show. Only a truncated version of the original url one copy/pasted shows up in the final product.
