can not remove domain

  Hi. I have not reviewed my domain theanomalousinvestor.com and wish for my blog to revert to theanomalousinvestor.wordpress.com. I have tried to delete it in dashboard, but get
  You cannot cancel this domain because it was not registered with WordPress.com. Please contact support.
  when i go to theanomalousinvestor.wordpress.com i get the annoying message Uh oh! Your blog’s domain theanomalousinvestor.com expired 56 days ago!

  The domain theanomalousinvestor.com was last renewed on July 31, 2013. It is configured to redirect traffic to the web address theanomalousinvestor.wordpress.com.

  However, this domain name expired on Thursday, July 31, 2014. It needs to be renewed every year to stay active or otherwise it will be lost. Please ask support to renew theanomalousinvestor.com before it’s too late:

  so the domain was purchased through worpress.com – but it seems to be telling me it was not.

  how can i resolve this.

  Before I proceed, there are a few points I need to cover.

  If we cancel your domain, it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again, once canceled.

  If you want to keep using your domain, but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.

  Hi thanks for your reply.

  confirming i want to remove theanomalousinvestor.com

  I want to keep using wordpress though through theanomalousinvestor.wordpress.com. I understand that will still be ok?
