Can not see updates after editing

  • Unknown's avatar

I have edited several pages but they show up empty. Under revisions, it shows I have something there. I even hit load, but nothing appears.

I’m new to this, so maybe it’s my error, but I don’t know what to do. can you guide me to the correct thread or tell me how to fix this?

    Thank you in advance

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Is this your missing content here? https://wordpress.com/page/goodgratefulmorning.wordpress.com/133

I was able to extract it from your backups and place it on a backup page. I did note that the code I extracted needed a bit of work since the content was found within a Query Loop Block. Can you tell us a bit more about what you are trying to set up? Typically that block is used to create a display (or feed) of blog posts, but I did not see that you had any on your site when I looked here:

    https://wordpress.com/posts/

You are trying to set up a blog or did you have something else in mind instead? Thanks for the additional info!

Hi, thank you, yes, this is not totally correct, but better than starting from scratch. also, my home page (finished more than a day ago) also does not show anything. could you also locate that?

I want to start a website for my blog.

My apologize, I meant my gratitude blog page.

  • Hi again,

I meant my gratitude blog page.

Gotcha. I can see that you have a page titled “Gratitude Blog” here: https://goodgratefulmorning.wordpress.com/gratitude-blog/

It’s an empty page, but is your plan to eventually display blog posts on that page? I noticed you created a page called “Kindred Spirit Write-ins” and set it up in your menu to be under “Gratitude Blog” did you mean for that to be one of your posts?

The reason I ask is because WordPress is set up by default with a place for you to add your blog posts, so these are not usually created as pages. Is this your first time setting up a blog? If so we’re happy to go into more detail about the difference between pages and posts, which I know can be a bit confusing at first.

Also if you are just starting out as a blogger I can recommend this free course we offer here which is a great place to start if you are still trying to get your bearings: https://wpcourses.com/course/intro-to-blogging/

Ah! Yes! I wanted to set them up as Pages! Not Posts! I will take this course and hopefully fix this problem! Thank you so much!

    Hello, Support staff?
I am trying to upgrade from a free account; however I am being denied for reasons that Word Press Billing only knows and will not tell why. Should I just give up and find another service?
