can not send email to people listed on the website

  I click on peoples email to send message from the website and it
  say Microsoft edge is trying to open windows live mail. and then
  is wont send the email to those people from the website. the contact us works. It goes to the gmail account for the site. What do I do to get
  the peoples email listed on the website to work>
