Hey!
Thanks for sharing the issue — if your local WordPress environment is only unresponsive for one website but others are working fine, it’s likely something got corrupted in that site’s files (often due to a plugin or theme conflict). Here’s how you can fix it:
🔧 Steps to Try:
- Clear your browser cache or try opening the site in a different browser or incognito window, just to rule out a caching issue.
- Check the error logs in your local WordPress environment (like LocalWP, XAMPP, etc.) — they often show exactly what’s breaking things.
- Check Plugins
If the issue happened after updating your profile or making changes, a plugin may be the cause.
Go to wp-content/plugins using File Manager or FTP.
Rename the folder of the last plugin you updated (e.g., from example-plugin to example-plugin-disabled).
Now refresh the site and see if it loads.
If it works, that plugin was the issue — you can either reinstall or replace it.
- Check Theme
Themes can also cause issues.
Go to wp-content/themes.
Rename the active theme’s folder (e.g., from yourtheme to yourtheme-old).
WordPress will try to load a default theme like Twenty Twenty-Four.
If the site starts working, the theme is the problem.
