can nto find 'page atributes'

I have looked up the information SELA template suggests that you change the ‘page attributes’ to WIDE. According to wordpress the page attributes is right below POST [located on the R.H. SIDE] when you are in the -edit mode- using the IMAGE view of your post. The demo version shows the wide graphic. WordPress does not show this ‘page attribute’ on my screen. Your assistance is appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

page attributes is not in screen options. It should be located on the right hand side of the working screen, right below the post -according to this theme -SEMA – The demo expresses that wide screen and two other styles belong to this design -theme. I checked wordpress Q & A. When I download the theme SEMA..the page attributes was not there. Maybe I need to invoke it somehow.

I will try again…perhaps I missed it some how..I understand what you are saying. I need to activate this option from the screen options. Frankly I don’t see what I need to check off. Maybe you can tell me. ..I need the WIDE Screen option–from the page attributes, as I have been led to believe. There is no where telling me that I have to show (not hide) this feature.

I fond out that there was another version of WordPress. the screenshot you sent me may refer to the older version. I went to dashboard and could not find the ‘options’ ou are referring to–when I go to the edit mode. When I created the first blog it [options] was there. Perhaps I have to create another blog. Also, the screen has changed for “ADD new post” from whence I started my first blog.

Progress: After I selected view site..NEXT.. WP Admin..I saw the screen options you were talking about. I selected it and saw only one row of options [with a check box] the second row had radio buttons to select one or two columns. when I invoked the WP Admin a sub layer appeared starting with ‘Dashboard” I knew at that point I was in the right place. ..following our initial instructions on the far top R.H. side read – options. this too only had one row to select with the check marks. Even If I get this going properly. I need to know what to check off for the options. I am guessing it has something to do with page attributes. I need assistance here?

SELA Theme Info from the Demo:–Full Width Template gives you more space for your content. As such it’s perfect to showcase a gallery of images or a video. Remember, that you can take advantage of beautiful full-width featured image too. To use the Full Width template, select it under Page Attributes while editing a Page.

I think I get it now..the blog does not have [page] attributes, the PAGES have..page attributes…. only the pages. What threw me off was the word HOME…thinking it was the default blog. I sat down and carefully reviewed everything. Sorry for being such a pest. Thank you for your patience!

I am having the same problem! I want my home page to be in the theme of ‘Front Page Template’ provided by SELA but I can’t find the page attributes tab when I write a new page! Please help!

  • Unknown's avatar

It should be in the right sidebar of the page editor. If it’s not there you might have to enable it to be displayed in Screen Options, as timethief suggests above.

  • sejalkumar7 – make sure your homepage is set to display a static page, not the latest blog posts.

    Set the Homepage

Once this is set up, you should then be able to select the Front Page Template from the Page Attributes box on the page you’ve chosen for your homepage. Only pages have the ability to select from different page templates, not posts, nor the blog index.
