Can only other wordpress bloggers "like" my posts?

    My husband, who doesn’t have a WordPress account, tried to like one of my blogs. It took him to a place to “sign in.” Can only other WordPress bloggers “like” my posts? It limits my readership if people have to sign in to comment or like my posts. Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Anyone can comment on your posts as long as they provide some information about themselves (to minimize spam), however only other WordPress.com users can like a post. This is the same as with any other system online. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc all require that users login in order to like posts (and frequently in order to leave comments). This is to prevent anyone from coming along and indiscriminately just liking posts over and over again.
