Can others "like" my post without signing in to WordPress?

  I just started blogging, so there’s probably an easy answer (although I’ve read everything I can in the Help section and haven’t found it).

  Can others “like” my post without signing in to WordPress? A bunch of people have told me (via FB) they like my blog, but no one seemed to be clicking. I signed out and tried to “like” my own post, but it continually directs me to sign in to WP. No options for a “like” outside of signing in are given. Help? (and THANKS!) :)

  No, readers need to have a WordPress.com account and logged in in order to Like posts and comments. Liking a post results in: i) showing that person’s avatar photo beneath the post, and ii) adds the post to that person’s list of Liked posts.

  So yeah, an account is a must-have, just like you can’t like things on Facebook without logging in. :)
