Can our site – no longer used – be deactivated please?

  We no longer have a paid account to WordPress (and have not for several years) yet the website is still accessible. We do not wish this to be available any longer as we have had some parents (somehow) accessing the well outdated site with outdated information, rather than accessing our current and accurate site. Can this be removed/made inactive?

  The authors have deleted this site.

  It looks like you’ve got it, but for anyone else wondering how to delete an old site:

  1) Log in as the site owner

  2) Follow these steps: https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/
