Can people embed youtube videos into their blog without copyright issues?

Someone suggested I take down embedded youtube videos that might be the property of others. I did so, but in the future would like to use this feature because it looks cool. My purpose is to highlight skateboard and music videos I like and review them. Legally can people embed youtube videos into their posts or is it against copyright?

I reviewed the guidelines. It was helpful to see how to embed videos but it did not answer my question. Do individual bloggers have copyright concerns when the embed videos onto their blog entries? Or is all youtube videos fair game?

All videos uploaded to YouTube must meet the YouTube Terms of Service and may have different copyright licenses (or Creative Commons licenses) or embedding settings, depending on the video owner’s settings.
