Can Photo’s be Widgets?

I’m sooooo new to blogging and this site. I just figured out what a widget is (I think)… and would like to use some personal pictures as a widget but I’m not sure how to do this. I thought “Image” was right …but then it asked for a URL …. argh.

Hi. Have you uploaded your picture(s) to WordPress.com? You can go to the media library, select to “edit” the details of the picture in question and copy the URL. You would then paste it into the image widget. More info on the media library here:

You can also use the image widget.
