Can Posts be displayed in chronological order?

  Hi,

  I’m creating a comic strip blog and it would be better if my posts were displayed in chronological order. Is there a way to do that?

  By default all posts will be in reverse chronological order. You can use the procedure outlined in this support document possibly.

  I need to determine the order of each blog. Is there a way I can do that?

  There is no pattern, eg. ascending, descending, etc.

  I do need to put a date on each blog as it will be describing things that happened on that “Date” and I will be wanting the blogs to be in order by “Date” – not the date the post was made, but the “Date” that is referred to in the post.

  Thus, I need to be able to rearrange posts by my “Date”, not the WP date.

  Is this possible? And if so, how?

  Finally, how will I know an answer has arrived? Check back here hourly, daily, etc., I suppose?

  Posts are in reverse chronological order (newest at top) by the date the post was published. There is no way to sort through a post body looking for a date and then display it by that date.

  @liffbyrob – just my opinion – having a comic strip in chronological order is great for the first time visitor – but if I return to a site and I see the same stale issue # 1 day after day I will not like to page down and down and down to find a new issue –

  just my $ .035 adjusted for inflation opinion.

  @auxclass & raincoaster Agreed. I’ve decided to do a mix because of that. Each ‘week’ of posts (MTWTF) will be posted in reverse chronological (so that they can be read in a logical order), but each week (week 1, week 2, week 3 etc) will be on screen in the normal blog fashion. I hope that works anyway.
