Can readers be allowed to insert photos into their comments to posts?
-
Is there a way to allow my blog readers’ comments to include images? I’d like readers to be able to respond to my blog posts with comments AND photographs that show examples of things they have tried related to the ideas in my posts. Thanks for the help…Ali
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, this is not possible here on WordPress.com
Your readers are not allowed to upload/ attach photos in the comments. Only the admin can add photos in the comments. -

Strictly speaking you are correct. Blogs are not meant to be used in that manner sat all. If they were and comment were not moderated then every blog would be full of spam and flash peddler porno images in comments. Even if they were moderated the Admin would have to see the ugly crap that the flesh peddlers and spammers would submit prior to marking it as spam. -
@aliposner
The roles for official users are here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/Commenters can provide image URLs and the Admin of the blog can choose whether or not to moderate the comments with the images in them. See here also http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/embeds/

The vast and overwhelming majority of all so-called information on the internet is spam. Much of it is sexually explicit and no young person ought to be exposed to it.Our reality is that over 80% of all so-called comments submitted to .wordpress.com blogs every day are spam. Spam comes in waves. There are human beings who get paid to post spam. There are robotic programs that post spam.
The worst of all spam containing malware and viruses is not sent to us. It’s removed as it could bring down many blogs if opened.
On the spam that Akismet catches it takes only seconds to click “empty spam” and you don’t even have to click “empty spam” if you don’t want to. Akismet will maintain comments it has caught for 15 days from the time they were received, and then it will delete the comment automatically.
If you get spam that slips by Akismet then mark it as spam (do not delete it) and over time Akismet will learn it’s spam.
There is no such thing as eliminating all spam but Akismet works very well. For more information please take the time to read “5 things every blogger should know about spam” on this page Akismet: How it works http://akismet.com/how/
Set up comment moderation if you have not already done so because allowing anonymous commenting is like putting out the welcome mat for spammers and flesh peddlers.
