Can SIte Pages Created from a Draft Be returned to Draft Status?
-
Just curious if Site Pages can be created from a draft… this I think is no doubt possible. But, can I take a site page that is already published – return it to a ‘draft’ and work on it and then re-publish it later?
Thanks,
SRS

Hey there,
Yes, there is a function for reverting your published pages back to draft form.
Within My Site > Manage > Site Pages select the page you wish to revert to draft and hit Edit. Once on the editing screen select the Status tab from the right sidebar and from that drop down the “revert to draft” button.
Hoping this helps!
Cheers

Hi there, the check box for email replies is currently AWOL from the forum form, but you can also subscribe through the sidebar link after you’ve posted directly in the forums. When you post through the https://wordpress.com/help/contact form, you are automatically subscribed. With any paid upgrade plan, that form will be directly to staff support, since you paid for that feature.
To your question, are you working in the My Sites/New Dashboard or in the WP Admin dashboard? In either case, when you open the page to edit it, you should see the option to revert to draft in the Status/Publish module. (temp screenshot-My Sites) (temp screenshot-WP Admin) In WP Admin, you need to use the drop down menu to return the page to Draft status. And of course save all your changes.
Hope that helps.
