Can someone check to see if my blog is visable to the public?
-
Im not sure my blog is getting out there as Im not getting any likes or comments from subscribers yet but always used to. Am wondering if I’ve done something wrong with my settings?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thankyou lexiornelas, I’m just finding it a bit odd that no-one is interacting – maybe everyone is busy, either that or my blog is boring!
-
I get an average of one comment per 1200 reads right now. How many comments and Likes and so on are you putting on other peoples’ blogs?
-
I actively like and comment on a great many blogs, I wouldn’t follow them otherwise, they are always of interest to me. Thanks for your comment and input.

This is the block of categories and tagged you assigned to a single post.Posted in Amazon Kindle, Authors, Books, Inspirational, Life, Marcia J Kenyon, Poetry | Tagged adversity, amazon, blea tarn, emotions, feelings, inspirational, Kindle, life, marcia j kenyon, motivational, poetry, spirituality, strength, uplifting, valentines day, weaknesses
The relevant only Categories and or Tags would be:
Poetry, Spirituality, Valentines DayThe rest is tag spam.
All reasons for non-appearance of posts on Topics pages can be found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts
As you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal of the excess categories and/or tags note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.
You are inadvertently spamdexing AKA tag spamming. And, you ought to be more concerned about your posts not appearing and being well ranked on Google and Bing SERPS (search results pages) than not appearing on the WordPress.com Topics pages because it’s search engines that send a significant flow of traffic to blogs and they can choose to bury your content where the sun don’t shine for tag spamming.
The rule of thumb is to assign the least, not the most, combined number of only relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the post content.

Thankyou for your advice here, I really appreciate it. I have obviously got tags and catagories all wrong. I assumed it worked the opposite way and by using lots of relevant tags/catagories you stood more chance of being read. I shall take your advice and start again.

It is so strange that we are running into this issue. I am a librarian and in Canadian schools all of us kids were instructed on how to use library catalogs, topics, tags and categories in grade 6. When searching for materials in the catalogs it was emphasized that there would be no duplication of tags and categories and that less and relevant were key.

Yes, but since then we’ve seen the rise of “Social Media Guru/Ninjas” who pull advice out their asses. There is entirely too much misinformation going around about visibility on social media.
-
Worse still is that people are hiring these so-called “Social Media Guru/Ninjas” to give them advice that cripples their positioning of their content in the SERPs. I like to butt kick every one of them.
