can someone help me change the theme on my page?

  i cant change theme on my page. i’ve already gone to appearances > themes.. but am not able to “install theme”. am i not able to install outside themes purchased or downloaded from the internet (other than the wordpress theme website)? please help.

  The only themes you can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs are the 208 found here > Dashboard > Appearance > Themes

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

  There is no upgrade that you can purchase from WordPress.com that provides FTP access and the ability to upload themes into a free hosted WordPress.com blog. See > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
