Can Someone Please change the Word Editor Back for Me?
-
Hello there! Sorry to bother you all but I need help changing the word editor on my blog back to the previous good one and not this garbage that is being forced on all of us. Yeah, I know that support for the old and good word editor will end at some point down the road, but honestly I’d rather stick with the only actual good editor instead of said inaccessible garbage being forced on us until the time comes where we’ll be forced to to write with the new one anyway.
I’m mostly blind and there are still major accessibility issues and concerns with the new editor. So please , can someone change my blog’s editor back to the old one? The place to find and change the editor type is inaccessible in-of-itself.
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Staff should be able to help but can you confirm that the empty https://robertleebrownblind.home.blog/ is the site you’re working on?

Hi there,
If you’re speaking of the other new site in your account, https://suilebhride.home.blog/, that site cannot be switched to the classic editor, as it’s using the new Maywood theme that has been designed specifically for the block editor. Editing pages on that theme will not work correctly with the classic editor, so it’s automatically disabled if that theme is activated on a site. Same goes for all the block-editor based themes we’ve launched the past few months.
To use the classic editor, please switch to an older theme that predates the block editor, and then I can change it to the classic editor for you.

Apparently I never received a notification for your response. Sorry about that!
I’m indeed refering to the robertleebrownblind.home.blog one.
I’m actually trying to delete the Suile one. I paid a subscription for it during the summer, had to cancel due to some last minute bills that came up and caught me off guard, and found out when I went to re subscribe that WordPress no longer offers unlimited storage for their higher end plans, which I was planning on upgrading to in a few months or so…And decided to not bother with subscribing to host a podcast on here.
Since then I’ve been unable to delete it as WordPress won’t let me for some strange reason.
As for the blog I do want switched back to the original and only good editor ihas the Franklin theme. Or at least that is what I attempted to set the theme to on there.

That site is already showing as being set to the classic editor for me. Did you manage to get it switched yourself?
Make sure that you have the right site selected when you try to open the editor:

Technically, the 200GB limit has always been there, and the number of people who have ever exceeded that are in the single digits. The ones who did happen to hit that limit uploaded hundreds of HD video files to our servers.
It is unlikely you’d ever fill up that quota with a podcast. You’d have to upload a lot of MP3 files to even just exhaust the 6GB storage on the Personal Plan, never mind the 13GB on Premium.

I don’t see anything on our end that would prevent deletion of that site. When you try to delete it at https://wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/suilebhride.home.blog, are you receiving any specific error messages?

Trust me, I could fill it fairly quickly. Among other things, I dungeon master for some Dungeons and Dragon games and tend to record them. They go to five hours at least a session, if not longer. Last time I looked at the data, it was like three hundred megabytes for it.
And yeah, the podcast is more important, but Ialso record and upload videos to Youtube. My average video that’s at least ten minutes is around six hundred or seven hundred megabyes a video.
Weird, because the highest priced plan said unlimited when I first look at it. I kind of wish I took a screen shot of it.
I’m not sure and I don’t remember at the moment. It was something along the lines of saying that some setting or thing wasn’t deleted or removed and that’s why it couldn’t be deleted. I had a subscription for a domain for that blog but have since let it go. I wonder if that’s the reason?

Can you please try again, using the direct link I provided above, and check?
