can the home page be categorized ?

  can the home page be categorized as page 1 ? of any title other than home ? like ” introduction ” ?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I don’t think you understand how blogs work but I could be wrong about. Forgive me if I’m wrong. Your front page is a page for running posts the most recent is placed at the top of the front page. As the dynamic post content changes post by post on your front page, and as we can assign categories only to posts, what you suggest is not possible.

  If you wish to have a static front page that your readers must click through every time they visit then the instructions are forum in the wordpress.com support documentation http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ However, do note that static pages cannot be assigned categories.
