Can the list shown of previous posts be by titles , instead of by dates?

  For me and for readers of my blog, listing previous posts by month of publication is almost useless. Listing by title would be far more relevant. (Adding date is OK, but not necessary). Is it possible to list by title?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there!

  On the main blog page, the posts will always display by date. However, I have a solution for you that might suit your needs. You can add a Display Posts shortcode on a page, or in your sidebar.

  Here are the instructions:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/

  For example, you may find that installing this shortcode on a page gives you the alphabetical post list you want:

  [display-posts order="ASC" orderby="title" posts_per_page="25"]

  Thanks so much for the quick reply, thatrobyn. However, I am so incredibly cyber-stupid that the instructions look like jibberish to me. I do understand the option of having a separate page (noted on the line just beneath the blog’s rural picture that says, e.g., Index of Posts. Then on that page the reader would see a list like this (but including all the posts published in the life of the blog):
  • Escaping the evil of sin Jan 20, 2015
  • Sin and evil Jan 18th, 2015
  • The sin of sin Jan 2nd, 2015
  • Dying Nov 27th, 2014
  • Thanksgiving Nov 27th, 2014
  Despite the page of instructions,, I am lost as to how to get there from here. John

  Here’s a draft version of the page:

  It’s not published on your site, don’t worry :) You can delete it if you’d like, or edit the title and publish it.

  The shortcode I used was:
  [display-posts order="ASC" orderby="date" include_date="true" order="DESC" posts_per_page="100"]
