Can the top item in a drop down menu not be linked to a page?

Still trying to get a handle on the custom menu. Can each topic across the navigation bar stand on its own with no link to a page, so it is like a title only for the drop down menus beneath, which will link to pages? I would like to title one “contact us” for example, but then visitors can only click on the different options from the drop down list, like “address and directions”, “Phone and Fax”, etc.

You can go to https://sagesfemmesrougevalleymidwives.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php and click on ‘Links’ on the left hand side. Then add a space after http:// and fill in a title at ‘Link Text’. Click on the [Add to Menu] button and add the Title above one of your drop down pages.

I just tried this, it links to an “address not valid” result instead of just being a title. Am I just adding a space using the space bar? Thanks for you help.

Sorry I forgot to tell you that after the custom link has been added you can empty the URL field, making the link unclickable. I’ve just did this for you.

It’s a bit of a hacky solution but it works well.
