Can those with the old site address still get to my site after I buy the domain?
-
Hi,
I have a professional blog (globalhealthvet.wordpress.com) and I’m thinking of buying the domain name to change the address to globalhealthvet.com. Since I have already distributed to several people the -wordpress.com address, I’m wondering if they would still be able to access the website once I change to the new address.
If people enter this address “globalhealthvet.wordpress.com”, will it forward them to “globalhealthvet.com” after I change to that?
Thanks,

Yes. The reason they do purchase domain mapping is so that all the URLs from the .wordpress.com root blog when clicked seamlessly redirect to the same content in the same posts and pages under the new domain URLs. For more detail read > Do I need a Domain?
