Can use page template when creating new pages

  I am trying to create a new page. I would like to use blog template for the new page. But there is no such option. There is option for page template. It is a new isntallation and it is a latest version or the WordPress. How can I fix it? Thanks.

  I actually have the same question. IS there a way to create a template for posting to wordpress. is there a way to do this ? I was hoping to have a footer at the bottom of every post… Currently I cut and paste to each post.
