can view and thus can’t use the media library
-
i’m using Konqueror 3.5.9 and besides crashing my konqueror if i try to unfold the categories block, i can’t see the first bar of the editor (the one with “Add media:” and all the cartoony images of the media)
It’s not a question of changing colors, i would like to use the old editor. so, is there a way to be user friendly and give it back? please?
PS: i’m not sure /why/ you implement a complety different version and not let the user have a period of adaptation/development?

According to Moxiecode, the makers of TinyMCE (the editor used by WordPress), the TinyMCE editor is not compatible with Konqueror: http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:Compatiblity .
Secondly, there is an error in the Flash browser plugin for Linux that I don’t believe the latest Flash upgrade fixed, but make sure you are using the latest version of flash: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ .
My suggestion is to download and use Firefox. It won’t be perfect, but it will be closer.
Also, under users > your profile make sure that “use visual editor” is selected.

The reason you are seeing the code, is that wordpress and the editor are checking to see what browser you are using. Since Konqueror is not compatible, the visual editor is locked out.
