Can we control where each post goes?

No, none. It’s not possible at WordPress.com other than that workaround. You could hide your main posts page and force people to look only at your widgets on a static front page, but it’ll slaughter your search engine juice.

Alright. If I use the work around and did date the date to years ago, is there any way to hide the date so readers don’t see it, only I do?

That’s a whole ‘nother question, but the answer is: possibly. IF you know CSS and have the paid CSS upgrade, and don’t mind certain other parts of your post vanishing. Don’t buy the upgrade if you don’t know CSS. If you do know it, practice on the free preview before you buy it, to make sure you can live with the results. The date is mixed in with a lot of other information, and when you make it go away, it ALL goes away.
