Can we do a date range/specific export from WordPress.com to WordPress.org?

  We have already done an initial export of our WordPress.com content over to our self-hosted WordPress.org version. However, we are not yet ready to launch our self-hosted blog yet, and are continuing to create content at WordPress.com. Is there a way for us to do a date range-specific export/import to just get the new information, or is a completely fresh import the best way to go? And, if we do a full re-import, will anything that we already have on our self-hosted instance just get overwritten, or do we need to clear it out before re-importing?

  There’s no need to do a full export/import. You can export your newly created content by selecting a date range on the Tools -> Export page.
