Can we incorporate Google's rel=author link?
-
Are we able to use
as described by Google to create a link to our Google+ profile from our webpage.
I searched within the WordPress links section but could not find any reference to it.If we can use this code, would we put it into a widget, text box?
Thanks so much,
KarenThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I believe you are referring to this. http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1408986 and as we cannot edit themes or templates on free hosted WordPress.com blogs, I’m flagging this thread so it gets moved to the Themes Forum where Themes Staff can answer your question.
Only some themes are coded to display author bylines and only some themes display author profiles. On themes that are coded to display author bylines they don’t appear unless there are 2 authors who have each published a post on the blog. Work-around for single Author bloggers who do wish to have a byline display on their posts.

Thank you, timethief. It looks like the code would work in a text widget IF there is a correlation to the theme I am using.
I appreciate the information on the workaround. This is encouraging.
I’ll wait to hear back from the Themes forum before I try anything.
Thanks again,
