Can we modify .htaccess file?

we are now doing some redirection operation.
“If you are using a CMS like WordPress, Magento, etc., that utilizes a base_url or URL type configuration within the site, you can end up with the configuration in the code or database conflicting with a redirect in a .htaccess file. These conflicting redirects will flip flop back and forth and never complete.”

Hi there,
WordPress.com’s servers run on nginx, not Apache, so there doesn’t exist any .htaccess file to modify here.
On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.
If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask for help from the WordPress.org community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead.

You should contact your domain registrar. Please note that sometimes your registrar is the same as your host.
