Can we RSS the comments?
-
Is it possible for people who subscribe to the RSS feed on my blog to be notified when a Comment is added, rather than just when a Post is added?
-
Some themes have the option for the the comment rss
so my suggestion would be check the themes and see
what one you like that offers the comment rss -
First question – is your blog hosted here at wordpress.com? The site linked in your username is not.
-
-
Sharp-edged elegance not a lot of help, of course; yes, my blog is posted here, although my site is not. I can only assume that you have people randomly posting help questions from other blog hosts… or, heaven forfend, trying to find things out before they set up here.
Teck, thank you for your helpful suggestion, I will look into other themes.
And definitely will think twice before asking for help again.

What we have is about 30% of people who haven’t read this:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=3700&replies=1
and are consequently in the wrong forum. -
mickwaresite.wordpress.com The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available. -
Do you know who this is? He’s been in Iraq working for CNN for 5 or 6 years. No one has made the inside story of this war clearer to me than Mick Ware has.
-
Except that tech isn’t correct. All of the themes have comments RSS, which is what tsp gave you in his answer.
You will find the folks here – mostly volunteers – quite helpful. But the confusion of org versus com (only 30%, rain?) that creates a lot of confusion, which is why asking about being hosted here is generally the first question you will encounter.

@vivianpaige
I have used all the themes since i’ve been here and not all the themes
offer [comment Rss] and for saying that tsp, provided the answer is incorrect
because tsp, linked to a wp.com site that has been shut down how is that a even a answer -
I’m referring to the comment rss link include in the theme for the readers
and not all themes offer a link for the comments. -
Not all of the themes SHOW the RSS for comments, but all of the themes offer RSS for comments.
Links to sites external to WP.com are not relevant to the forum, which is why we generally encourage people to make the link on their name to their WP.com blog; we could have solved this many posts ago, had that been the case.
-
TSP used “blogname” as part of the URL. You would have to substitute the actual blogname where I put “blogname.”

Oops here is what i’m trying to say
I’m referring to the comment rss link include in the theme for the readers
and not all themes offer a link for the comments builted into the theme
why should the readers have to type out the link tsp did most readers wouldn’t
even know that link exist.as you can see tsp, & I are the only 2 that try’d to offer him a answer
while everyone else was to busy bickering if his blog was part of
wordpress.com -
my lats comment is for vivianpaige
here is the link for that comment

If anyone would do a little research, they would have found that his wordpress.com blog is: http://wareabouts.wordpress.com/

I wasn’t bickering. I simply asked a question. And what you said, teck07, was incorrect – all themes do indeed offer an RSS feed for comments. The link may not be built into the theme but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. And it certainly doesn’t mean you have to change themes in order to access it.
Had you said that not all themes show the RSS feed for comments, then I wouldn’t have had a problem with your answer. But if you give half an answer, I’m going to call you on it.
