Can we set pingbacks to auto-approve?
-
I’ve pored over the support topics and the forums, and I’ve answered a few of my questions, but I haven’t found the answer to this last gnarly one:
I self-ping. I understand both sides of the issue, and for now I think it’s worth doing. When I draft a new blog post, I’ll usually include links to at least three or four other related posts. I draft the new post a few days ahead and schedule it for the date/time that I want it to go up on the blog. When that post actually goes up on the blog, the “related links” get turned into pingbacks on the old posts, and the pingbacks appear in my comment queue for moderation.
I’ve been manaully approving each & every pingback because I can’t find the “auto-approve your self-pingbacks” setting. Does that exist? Is there another way for my pingbacks to automatically appear on the old posts without having to manually approve each & every one of them?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s glitchy. Sometimes they go through and sometimes, when the settings tighten up, they don’t.

Thanks.
I haven’t checked every pingback, but I haven’t noticed any MIAs.
The 10th or 12th time I have to manually accomplish a task, though, I start searching for a way to automate it.

One last dumb question– where’s the “suggestion box” for improvements to WordPress? I’m building a list that I could submit one item at a time… or the whole list at once.

You can use the “Ideas” section of the forum for that :-)
