Can Widgets Appear in Different Areas of the Viewable Screen?

    Hemingway Rewritten – When I view the sidebar widgets (on the STATIC HOME page) on my computer- they appear to the right of the content on the HOME page. When view them in the ‘Phone’ option – the sidebar widgets go to the bottom of the HOME page.

    Is there any way I can use CSS to allow just the Phone viewing option to allow those widgets be at the top of the HOME page – JUST for viewers using a phone – while still leaving those that view this page on a computer to see them to the right of this page?

    I just want to know if CSS can do this. Then I’ll go about trying to find/create the CSS that will do it. Of course if you have an idea of that CSS and can direct me to it, that would be much appreciated.

    There isn’t a way to relocate whole section to that magnitude with just CSS.

    I can’t really think of any themes that put the widgets first either. Every theme I’ve used in our directory is designed to be content-first.

    Think of it this way, you don’t want folks to have to scroll through a ton of widgets just to get to what they came to your site for (the content), they won’t stick around.

    Hi macmanx,
    Actually someone from support (Automatic responded to my email to support) responded to an email I sent them and they sent me some CSS that works per my original request – to reposition the sidebar widgets to the top of the phone and table viewable static home page.

    I’ve gone on to ask them if I can get these same

      widgets to appear left to right across the page when viewed on a computer

    . Their response stated that they weren’t sure as it might depend on the Theme we use – if a CSS sort of code would perform the left to right idea.

    If I knew CSS could do this with out Hemingway Rewritten Theme- then I’d pursue learning more CSS to try to accomplish this.

    You don’t have any idea if what I propose would work with Hemingway Rewritten (the SRS theme in use)???
