can widgets be added to a specific page or just to the home page side bar?

  hello
  I’d very much appreciate your help with resolving a widget problem on my blog http://nipitinthebud.wordpress.com
  I tried to add the Vitamin Wheel widget to the nutrition page but it just appears as code with a hyperlink to it’s location on the Widgetbox website. I thought perhaps widgets couldn’t be added to pages so I tried it in the sidebar on the home page as well using a text box. Both pages are identically incorrect with no graphic (it should look like this http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/vitamin-wheel)
  Any suggestions?
